Day 2 - Monasteries and hot springs

You walk from the plain of Polichnitos through ancient olive groves to Monastery Damandriou with fantastic wall paintings from the 15. Century. Day 3 - Water fall and aqueduct

You drive to the Gulf of Kalloni and explore on your way the waterfall of Pessa (walking time 1 hour). At the Gulf of Kalloni you can find the remainings of Ancient Pyrrha at the beach. In the pine forests you walk to the Roman Aqueduct of Lambou Mili, idyllically located in a valley (walking time 1 hour). On your return to Vatera you should stop at the tiny hamlet of Agios Dimitrios to enjoy a coffee in a lush green garden at the foot of Mount Olympus. 260m altitude, 8 km, 2h

Day 4 - On old pilgrim paths

A great hike on ancient pilgrim paths through olive groves and forests to the most beautiful mountain village of the island: Agiassos. In the old streets you will find regional delicacies such as olive oil, cheese, herbs, tea and honey, as well as ceramics and handicrafts. The famous St. Mary's Church in the village with its miracle-working icon is worth seeing and is the destination of many Orthodox pilgrims. 370m altitude, 10 km, 3,5h

Day 5 - Olive museum and sunset in the mountains

This day we have planned mainly as a car tour and day of rest. In the Olive Oil Museum you can learn exciting things about the olive tree, the olive and of course the olive oil. On the stunning beach of Tarti you can swim in the crystal-clear water. In a beach taverna you can taste tasty fresh fish and seafood. In the evening we invite you to the sunset in the mountains and to a small wine and cheese tasting.

Day 6 - Ouzo village and rock church

Visit the rock church of the hidden Madonna in an idyllic bay. In the crystal-clear water, you can find the hot springs while swimming. Walk to a traditional village and enjoy fantastic views of the south coast. Later you will have the opportunity to visit one of the famous Ouzo distilleries and, of course, taste the Ouzo made there. 320m altitude, 10 km, 3,5h

Day 7 - Peak of Mount Olympos

Climb through the chestnut woods around Agiassos to the summit of Mount Olympus (968m), visit the pretty little chapel and enjoy the fantastic views of large parts of the island. Maybe you would like to relax after the mountain tour in the warm waters of the thermal bath of Gera. The pretty spa right on the water is worth a visit. 570m altitude, 10 km, 3,5h
